A trip by boat, cogwheel railway and aerial cableway
The Golden round trip takes you to the most spectacular spots on the Pilatus and to the summit by boat, cogwheel railway, aerial cableway and Panorama Gondolas. Experience the variety of Lucerne's local mountain from May to October.
Please check the timetable and the open facilities before you travel. We recommend reserving a seat for the journey on the cogwheel railway.
Start your journey however and wherever you like: for example, in Lucerne with a relaxing boat trip across glittering Lake Lucerne, followed by the steepest cogwheel railway in the world, which takes you to the majestic summit of Mount Pilatus - or start in Kriens and float up the mountain on the panoramic gondola and aerial cableway before taking the cogwheel railway and boat back to Lucerne.
Regardless of which direction you take on the round trip - an incomparable 360° panoramic view of the Swiss Alps awaits you at 2,132 metres. Enjoy a refreshment stop at one of the mountain restaurants and take in the spectacular view before continuing your journey.
